Competition
Are you a singer, a singer/songwriter, a rapper or a band?
Then apply to our competition and win a development deal!
This competition is for UK acts only. Acts need to reach the studio at their own expense.
Prizes:
1st: Three tracks produced and arranged by our in-house producers and mixed by our double Grammy winner mix engineer; a live acoustic music video and the possibility to get a management deal with MaDa Music.
2nd: 50% off for the recording, production, mixing and mastering of up to 3 songs
3rd: 30% off for the recording, production, mixing and mastering of up to 3 songs
everyone who applies, gets 10% off the first three songs they want to record and/or produce
Rules:
Phase 1: "Submission"
1. Record yourself performing on a mobile phone (we don't accept any other kind of videos or any music that is being sonicly treated in any way). The songs can be originals or covers. we accept "A Capella" videos
2. Post your video on our facebook page: www.facebook.com/elephantlanestudios. Please private message us as well with your video link and your email so that we can get in touch to let you know if you are selected to the next phase.

5. We will select the best 15 acts and invite them to join us at "Phase 2". The deadline to enter is 27/02/2014
Phase 2: "The One Take Sessions"
6. The acts selected will be invited to the studio to record a live acoustic video.
7. The acts selected will have a maximum of 2 takes to record their performance, one for sound levels and one as a final take
8. The acts will be asked to pay a £30 admin fee that will be paid in advance to secure their spot. They will be given a video file of their performance for them to keep. If you require a pianist or a guitar player, it can be arranged for a little extra fee.
9. We will post every act's performance on our facebook page. The 10 acts with most likes will go through to the last phase of the competition. The acts will have about 4 weeks to promote their video.
Phase 3: "The Live Show"
10. The 10 finalists will be invited to perform live, two songs of their choice each, at an event organised by MaDa music. Timing and location will be disclosed at the completion of phase 2
11. The winners will be selected by the audience through a votation system and by a small panel of judges.
